Marketing For the Three Kings Day
Wednesday, January 7th, 2009Marketing For the Three Kings Day
Â
I remember that when I was about 5 years old, I was told by my parents to place my shoes by the door on the night of January 5th. Because the three kings will come by and will leave a gift for me if I was good during the previous year.
Â
The Three Kings Day or Epiphany is a Christian holiday that I believe is being celebrated on most Latin American countries. This is the holiday where parents spend more money to buy gifts for their kids, than Christmas.  Most businesses develop campaigns for the Three Kings Day besides Christmas.Â
Â
In Canada, we have a large Spanish population but companies are not targeting to Spanish Customers and not developing targeted campaigns to generate sales like for this holiday.
Â
In USA, where there is a Hispanic population of over 45 million, things are different. Traditional American companies like Wal-Mart are targeting to Spanish customers and developed campaigns for the Three Kings Day to attract customers to their doors.
Eventough, this is a Christian Holiday. This holiday has also became tradition in some countries. Do they celebrate the Three Kings Day where you live?
